Pinot Noir. This extremely popular wine grape is often cited as one of those that most clearly express their place of origin. With very noticeable differences between vineyard sites along the same hillside in Burgundy, you can bet Pinot Noir from different parts of the globe shows a very wide variety of styles.
In this class, we're going to taste 9 wines from different regions so that you can smell and taste those distinctions firsthand. We'll discuss why the wines taste the way they do, including region, climate, harvest decisions, and winemaking. You'll leave with a much better understanding of the major Pinot Noir producing areas of the world, how the wines from each area typically taste and why, as well as how to describe the different styles.
Here are the details.
